do young people even know what a file cabinet is?

What's up, [FORMATTED_FIRST_NAME GOES HERE]?

So far, the past week has been... itchy! A week ago Lucy got some poison ivy oil on her fur that she unknowingly rubbed all over my face and neck. 😖 Luckily, I'm on the mend thanks to a very kind Urgent Care doc who prescribed me steroids yesterday.

She told me one of the side effects is a lot of energy, "So if you have any big projects, now would be the time to work on them."

Sounds like I'll be tackling a mountain of blog posts!

But I'm not going to blog all willy nilly. No, no, no.

I'll follow the file cabinet analogy my friend Pamela Keniston shared on the podcast last week. I'm obsessed with this analogy!

Pay attention around the 8-minute mark of the episode to hear Pamela explain this concept.

What I love about this file cabinet blogging analogy (and the whole interview):

  • We get clear on how the right blogging strategy leads to sales (minute 8)
  • Using blogging to get traffic from search engines can take time, but the traffic you get will be high-quality potential customers (minutes 20)
  • Pamela shares a road map to get started with just 2 blog posts, and building from there (minute 26)

I felt so inspired to re-work my content calendar after this convo. Wherever you are in your business blogging journey, I know you'll learn something!

Consider it your Cliff's Tori's Notes!

Bear with me for this P.S. This year my file cabinet has 4 big drawers - Money, Email Marketing, Blogging for SEO and Networking. Those are the 4 major topics I'm dedicating each quarter to on the podcast and in my membership for pet pros.

Why these 4? Well, I spent a lot of years chasing social media clout and it left me burnt out, anxious and not as rich as I'd like to be TBH! Starting in 2020, I learned how to build an evergreen business that stands the test of time thanks to Marie Forleo in her B-School program.

Last week someone called me out for sounding like a B-School affiliate. But the joke's on them because I'm PROUD to be a B-School affiliate partner - I'm the only one in the pet industry!

Marie and her team are hosting a fast-track 4-week B-School session starting this month. If you've enjoyed a lot of the content I've shared this year or have wanted to try B-School for a while... this is your chance!

If you have any questions about it, just reply to this email. I will answer you honestly, [FORMATTED_FIRST_NAME GOES HERE]!

TLDR: B-School's fast-tracked 4-week summer session is now open!
