they cared for Burt for over a year

Hi [FORMATTED_FIRST_NAME GOES HERE]-

Earlier this week I got to do something really important to me.

I made a donation to Action for Animals. That's the shelter where I adopted Burt.

In the 5 and a half years since adopting this crazy boy, I've done supplies drives, hosted fundraisers and donated to the shelter. But this year I decided to make a consistent donation each quarter.

While I'm just one woman with a small business, I know that over the year my donations will make a big impact.

With what I plan to give throughout the year, I’ll sponsor 3 shelter dogs to be neutered and 3 rescue runs to "open-door" shelters, saving the lives of 45 dogs by bringing them to Action for Animals.

This is so important to me because Burt was one of those dogs.

Before he made his way to their Action for Animals in Latrobe, PA, Burt was found on a country road in rural Ohio. He ended up in a shelter waiting for his clock to run out when AFA picked him up and brought him to their facility.

They took care of him for over a year. Providing him with medical care including several vet appointments to find the right meds to control his seizures.

The volunteers took him on daily walks and gave him lots of love. Over the years we've gone back to visit and everyone there still knows Burt - and he knows them! 😍

As dog lovers, I know we all have causes that we love to support, and this is mine.

What's your favorite pet charity to support, [FORMATTED_FIRST_NAME GOES HERE]? Reply to this email and let me know, I'd love to hear about it!

P.S. If you love Burt's story and want to give back to Action for Animals in support of him and dogs like him, you can donate through their website. The people and the pets there will be so grateful!
